4- Chic Mamair
The
owner of the project is Mrs. Fatma Omar Al Khaja (UAE) , received
her teaching Diploma in 1972. In 1974, she took her first job as
teacher in a primary school. She worked her way up to be the administrative

and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Administration in 1986.
In 1990, She joined Al Ain University and worked there as a research
assistant in the Center of Administrative, Financial & Economic
Research. The promoters rationale in setting up this venture
(Chic Mamair) was prompted by a need to service her own schools
requirement for students and teacher uniforms and accessories. Moreover,
Fatma is a frequent traveler and is very conscious about the taste,
demand and interests of locals, from whom she receives feedback.
On her International trips, she procures products ranging from ready
made garments, perfumes, cosmetics, blankets and house hold items
which she sells to relatives and friends and reaps 20-30% net profit
margin. The feedback received by her clients has resulted in repeated
orders, which lead Fatma to think about operating on a larger scale
and thus setting up this project.
